While in art school it was imparted upon me, at least I believed it was, that artists should not leave all the curating to curators. Nor should all the writing be done by writers, all the galleries by dealers, etc. That is, as artists we have a responsibility to claim spaces traditionally ruled by others. Which means all spaces.
